General Policy
- All sales of weight management medications are final.
- No refunds or exchanges are permitted once a medication has been dispensed, prescribed, prepared, or administered.
- This includes, but is not limited to, injectable medications, compounded medications, oral medications, and supplies associated with treatment.
Reasons Refunds or Exchanges Are Not Permitted
Refunds or exchanges cannot be provided for weight management medications due to:
- Federal and state pharmacy regulations
- Medication safety and integrity concerns
- Inability to verify proper storage or handling once medication leaves the clinic
- Custom dosing or compounding based on individual patient treatment plans
Non-Refundable Situations Include (but are not limited to):
- Change of mind after purchase
- Intolerance, side effects, or lack of desired weight loss results
- Missed doses, improper use, or non-adherence to treatment instructions
- Discontinuation of treatment by patient choice
- Insurance denial or lack of insurance coverage
- Medication already dispensed, shipped, or administered
Limited Exceptions
Refunds or replacements may be considered only at the clinic’s discretion under the following circumstances:
- The medication was dispensed in error by the clinic (wrong medication or incorrect dose)
- The medication is found to be defective prior to patient use
All exceptions must be reported within 24 hours of receipt or administration and must be verified by clinic staff. Approved exceptions will be addressed with a replacement medication or account credit, not a cash refund.
Appointment & Program Fees
- Office visits, consultations, program enrollment fees, membership fees, and administrative fees related to weight management services are non-refundable.
- Missed appointments or late cancellations are subject to the clinic’s standard cancellation policy.
Patient Acknowledgment
By enrolling in a weight management program and/or receiving medications from Smarter Health Medical Clinic, patients acknowledge and agree to this Refund & Exchange Policy.
Patients are encouraged to ask questions and discuss treatment options thoroughly with their provider before medications are dispensed.
